The first edition of the Albanian drama festival "Metro-Fest" raised the curtains last night in the Metropolis’ Theater with "The afternoon game" a play by Martin Camaj. The play came on stage under the direction of Shkëlzen Berisha, and was followed by a discussion on Albanian dramaturgy, the play itself and the problem of blood feud and justice. The Albanian drama will be the main focus of this first edition of “Metro-Fest”, through the presentation of plays that illustrate the up and downs of Albanian drama during many years.

“We are highly enthusiastic that this first edition decided to investigate some of the Albanian plays which for one reason or another have never been presented to the public. Our focus is to establish a strong connection with the Albanian drama,” said the Metropolis Theater director, Jonida Beqo referring to this artistic event.

“Metro-Fest” is a new festival conceived as an opportunity for meetings and opinion’s exchanging between readings and new theatrical performances. “Metro-Fest” will lower the curtains on November 4.
