Albanian Iso-Polyphony Part of BBC Famous Program

The Albanian ensemble of traditional music “Saz’Iso” enchanted the British public through a brilliant performance during a famous program ‘Later with Jools Holland” aired by BBC. This ensemble, composed by 9 instrument players and singers conveyed in the British screen the Albanian polyphony unique atmosphere by reviving ancient musical pieces.
The show’s host joined the public while expressing his high consideration for this kind of music that was defined a hypnotic mixture of oil that takes you into a magic night in Balkan’s Peninsula.
The ensemble’s performance was part of a tour in Great Britain that started in Kardif and will continue in Cambridge, Bristol, York, Sheffield and London.
The ‘Saz’Iso’ ensemble, which was set-up by known British producer Joey Boyd, age 70, who once cooperated even with “Pink Floyd”, is the first Albanian musical group that undertakes this kind of tour in Britain. Their performances have often been the epicenter of different prestigious British magazines and newspapers.
