'Doors of Tomorrow' to Celebrate Albania-Italy Cooperation

The Italian Embassy in Tirana, Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and the Centre for Openness and Dialogue (COD) are jointly hosting the “Doors of Tomorrow”, an annual event with various activities of the Italian Development Cooperation System opened on Wednesday. The activities will continue until November 8, 2017. The event aims to celebrate the cooperation and good relation between Albania and Italy.
Every cooperation project between Albania and Italy is an open door to share a better future of peace, stability and sustainable development, the Italian Embassy in Tirana said in a press release on Tuesday. Peace, stability and sustainable development are the central themes of the “Doors of Tomorrow” event organized by the Italian Embassy, Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, the Italian-Albanian Debt for Development Swap Program, the EU-funded Natura 2000 project, Italian non-governmental organizations operating in Albania. “Albania and Italy have a long history of friendship, dialogue and cooperation. The results of this cooperation range from new infrastructures to sustainable development of local communities, from the protection of human rights to the preservation of environmental wealth. This great cooperation story will be shown through an event that will take place at COD, Center for Openness and Dialogue, from 1 to 8 November 2017,” Italian Embassy said. “An exhibition of values will be for the first time open to the broad public. Seven side events will take place and live streamed on internet during whole week. The side events will show results and prospect of future collaboration between Albania and Italy. This is a unique history of individuals and institutions that have been and keep working together to build a better future,” the press release added.
