'Musical Meeting of Two Worlds', Festival That Meets Expectations

Hundreds of spectators enjoyed last evening at the premises of Tirana's "Sheraton" hotel a very the brilliant performances of Albanian piano player Silva Skenderi and Montenegrin violinist Miran Begic in a beautiful concert.
Through a very harmonious mix between them two artists presented a special program to the public which included pieces from Mozart, Ludwig van Bethoven, Edvard Grieg, a dance by Aleksander Peci and Herzigonia Dances.
The concert was held in the framework of the closing of the 11th edition of the International Music Festival of Two Worlds, which this year included three more music concerts in Dropull, Shkodra and University of Arts in Tirana.
The "Musical Meetings of the Two Worlds" festival, organized under the auspices of Ilda Mara, the "Argjiro" organization executive director, has now turned into a most important event combining tradition with the classics and modernity, while remaining loyal to the national identity.
The festival's mission is to serve to the dialogue and cultural bridges between peoples and raise public awareness of the protection and transmission of different cultures as part of cultural heritage along with revitalization of historic centers through periodical music events.
