Democratic Party (DP), opposition's main political force, stands beside the Himara inhabitants in their protest against houses demolition. Democrat MP Flamur Noka warned of popular revolts during a meeting on Wednesday with the inhabitants whose houses are expected to be demolished as a part of a project for city's promenade requalification.
"We are here to denounce the violation of Himara's territory. No one should dare to infringe Himara while trying to hide the dark motives behind this way of doing. Popular revolt will bring them down because Himara inhabitants' assets are being violated. 100-years old premises are demolished while others belonging to Socialist MPs are spared," stated Noka.
He declared that DP stands beside the inhabitants in defense of the law and the citizens' rights.
