This memorandum was signed during a two-day visit of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj and TWSS) General Director Redi Molla in Netherlands in the framework of a conference on Water’s International Week.

Mayor Veliaj stressed that the Memorandum of Understanding marks the beginning of a long cooperation in sharing of best experiences in the field of exploitation of hydropower resources in the interest of cities development.

“The aim of the cooperation between the parties is to improve the efficiency and performance of water and wastewater treatment services in Tirana. This was the first positive year for the water supply company but our mission is to always do everything within our capacities thus I believe that this memorandum is also an attempt to do much more in the future. Our aim is not only to be the best team in Albania but also to become competitive with any water supply system in Europe, which means that we will not only improve the infrastructure but also the human resources,” declared Veliaj.
