The Municipality of Tirana forewarns the imminent shut down of every illicit scrap collecting point in the capital. This warning was given by the Vice-Mayor Arbian Mazniku during an inspection on Sunday along with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment Blendi Klosi in different areas of the city used as scrap collecting points.
This inspection is part a larger scale initiative undertaken in cooperation with the ministry aimed to put an end to the illegitimacy in this sector. Some 170 scrap collecting points operate currently in Tirana, mostly in proximity of the inhabited areas. This fact often generates concern among the citizens worried about their health thus we must definitively resolve this issue, said Mazniku.
