The Democrat MP Enkelejd Alibeaj accuses the Prime Minister Edi Rama of attempt to discredit the Anti-Narcotics chief Dritan Zagani, key witness in the former-Minister of Interior Sajmir Tahiri case.

Through a press release issued on Sunday Alibeaj stressed that Prime Rama is doing his best to destroy the proofs against Tahiri.

“Two days ago the chief of executive lied when declaring that Dritan Zagani had been condemned by the Serious Crimes Court. The remand in prison, issued as security measure for Zagani does not constitutes a final conviction. There exists no judicial document proving Zagani’s conviction. On the other side it is more than clear to everyone why Premier Edi Rama has left everything else aside and is dealing with Zagani. The chief of executive is doing everything within his power to hide the traces by hampering the justice’s course in Tahiri’s case. This way of doing a clear indicator of the fact that the net is becoming tighter and tighter for the big fishes,” said Alibeaj.
