Prime Minister Edi Rama get involved in replies with the journalists at the end of a parliamentary session on Wednesday when asked about Tahiri issue and the majority’s decision to reject the Serious Crimes Court request to authorize his arrest.
“Instead of addressing similar senseless questions you should read and understand the parliament and Mandate and Immunity Council role. You have not realized that the MPs immunity has already fallen. We are not here to discuss about his immunity removal. We are here today to defend the justice,” said Rama, while replying with a question to the journalists.
“Which one of you would accept to be imprisoned if accused of stealing a microphone,” said the Premier, adding that the fact no MP may be arrested without parliament’s consensus does not prevent the prosecution from conducting an inquiry.
