The Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) chairwoman, Monika Kryemadhi reacted on Wednesday over parliament's vote contrary to the Serious Crimes Prosecution request for authorization to arrest the former-Minister of Interior Sajmir Tahiri.
While declaring her vote in favor of prosecution's request Kryemadhi said that she had expected the MPs to choose the love for the country instead of the love for crime.
"Majority's voting against Tahiri's arrest due to his alleged ties with international drugs trafficking was a lost chance to prove its sincerity in the fight against drugs and criminality. I voted for the young MPs, for SMI MPs Kejdi Mehmetaj and Floida Kerpaçi, for Democrat MP Rudina Hajdari and all the young boys and girls willing to serve to their country. Your vote confirmed Habilaj's words that these votes were bought through drugs money," said Kryemadhi addressing to the majority's MPs
In conclusion she stated that majority proved through this vote its impossibility to detach from the organized crime.
