Sajmir Tahiri is no longer part of the Socialist Party parliamentary group. He has been expelled from the Socialist group until the conclusion of prosecution's investigation related to his alleged ties with international drugs trafficking.
This decision was announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama during the Socialist group meeting on Monday. He declared that from now on Tahiri would be a freelance MP. The chief of executive also stressed that Socialist MPs will vote unanimously against Tahiri's arrest while adding that this decision aims to enable him to conduct a political battle aimed to prove his innocence.
