The fate of former-Minister of Interior Sajmir Tahiri parliamentary mandate stands in the hands of Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) MP, Nasip Naço. His vote in the Rules of Procedure, Mandates and Immunity Council would make the difference between the acceptation or the overruling of Serious Crimes Prosecution request.

“I am in favor of the prosecution’s request for Tahiri’s parliamentary mandate removal. He should be equally treated as any other MP if there a legal basis for this request. This is moral standard. Tahiri should not hide behind the parliamentary immunity. I will play neither the role of prosecutor nor the role of judge in this meeting. I am just an MP that will consider this request,” said Naço, implying that he would vote pro this request.

He also invited the Socialist Parliamentary (SP) parliamentary group to clear the path to a much-expected process by the Albanian citizens.
