New Evidences, Closed Doors Meeting for Tahiri

The Council on the Rules of Procedure, Mandates and Immunity is holding a closed doors meeting based on the prosecution request to remove the parliamentary immunity of the former socialist Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri opening the road to his arrest.

The prosecutors of this case requested a meeting without media presence on view of the new evidences against Tahiri that according to them must be kept secret due to the investigations and the sensitive case.

Three Serious Crimes prosecutors pretend that they have come in possession of new evidences against Tahiri provided by the Italian authority.

The latest is accused of involvement in international drugs smuggling and passive corruption of a high ranks official.
