The Democrat leader, Lulzim Basha denounced on Thursday the blackmail on Prime Minister Edi Rama by the former-Minister of Interior Sajmir Tahiri following the publication of tapings on the latest alleged implication in drugs smuggling.
“We have been informed that Tahiri is trying to reach a deal with Premier Rama aiming to cover-up this entire issue. The former-Minister of Interior is in possession of tapings, documents and recordings which prove PM Rama’s direct involvement with the Mafioso gangs,” declared Basha.
He also urged to the prosecution to act without further delays bringing all the members of Tahiri - Habilaj clan in front of the justice and seize their assets.

Meantime, referring to the seizure of some 4.5 tons of cannabis in Vlora last night he congratulated the Serious Crimes Prosecution, the Informative Service and international partners for this success.
Basha also considered as delayed and an attempt to shadow this success the decision of State Police Director, Haki Çako for the Elbasan Police Directory chain of command dismissal.
