Italy, Ibrahim Kodra's Unknown Exposed in Milan

The 100th anniversary of the birth of the great Albanian painter, Ibrahim Kodra, is being commemorated through a special exhibition opened in "Museo della Permanente" in Milan. Some 19 works that date from 1944 to 1964, most of which are unknown and unpublished before, which come as a homage to the renowned artist who has left extraordinary traces in the Albanian and world painting.
According to curator Elena Pontiggia the exhibition aims to bring to mind a forgotten artistic period of Ibrahim Kodra, whose creations are filled with colors and movements.

The exhibition will remain open on November 5th and besides Kodra works it also contains some of the works of the most famous artists of the 1960s.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Kodra’s, the National Gallery of Arts in Tirana has also confirmed the imminent opening of a retrospective exhibition during the next year. The National Gallery of Skopje will also open an exhibition dedicated to Kodra on June 2018.
