Its purpose is to raise the public’s and decision-makers awareness level on the importance of country’s natural heritage preservation and the protection of Vjosa river from numerous hydro-power plants expected to be constructed along this river.
The concert will bring on stage artists like Elina Duni, Eda Zari, Gent Rushi, Rob Luft, Vlashent Sata, Marsela Çibukaj, Linda Rukaj, Charles Lamouroux, Ermal Rodi, Florian Garcin, Emiljan Dhimo, “Lunxhëria” polyphonic group, Blerat & Besfort Këpuska, Dj. ODA, etc.
According to scientists, Vjosa Valley serves as habitat for many rare species of animals and plants that have disappeared from other rivers of Europe. However, many of these creatures are now endangered by construction of hydro-power plants.
