Former-Prime Minister, Sali Berisha forewarns an international arrest warrant for the Socialist former-Minister of Interior, Sajmir Tahiri due to his ties with drugs trafficker Moisi Habilaj.
In a public statement issued on Tuesday he quoted the Italian media which published a wire-tapping proving that a sum of EUR 30.000 was given to Tahiri for each drug load smuggled from Albania to Italy.
"The international arrest warrant for Tahiri is a sure thing on view of the tapping made public by the Italian media. This element proves beyond any shadow of doubt that he was a member of this gang receiving conspicuous payments for each drug quantity smuggled by speedboat to Italy," declared Berisha.
Opposition has repeatedly accused Tahiri of ties with drugs trafficking but this is the first time that his name is mentioned by the international partners.
