Italian media made public on Tuesday the tapping of the one of the arrested for drugs and weapons trafficking from Albania to Italy, Moisi Habilaj. Habilaj speaks about a sum of money that he was supposed to give to his cousin, ex minister of interior, Saimir Tahiri.
The 39-year-old arrested yesterday by Catania's Guardia di Finanza in the "Rosa dei Venti" operation is the cousin of former Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri.
Former minister has always denied his connections with Habilaj, explaining that he had sold the car to his cousins since 2013. Meantime the verification of Italian detectives show a different story in which the name of the Albanian politician comes out.
One of the wiretappings shows that Habilaj said that "I must give EUR 30.000 to Sajmir," Italian media writes on Tuesday.
