The seven arrested in Italy part of the organized gang which trafficked drugs and weapons
Italian authorities destroyed a well organized criminal gang on Monday which trafficked drugs and weapons from Albania to Italy.
Seven persons, four Italian and three Albanian citizens were arrested during the operation coded "Rosa dei Venti" in Sicilia.
The Albanians arrested are Moisi Habilaj, 39, Maridian Sulaj 29 and Fatmir Minaj 55.
Meanwhile the Italians arrested are Antonio Riela 46, Vincenzo Sampinato 44, Gianluca Passavanti 37 and Angelo Busacca 37.
One of the Albanians arrested, Moisi Habilaj was denounced on 2015 for drug trafficking by the Democratic Party.
First investigations shows that the criminal organization trafficked 3.5 ton cannabis from Albania to Italy.
