The opposition’s leader, Lulzim Basha presented on Monday a new proposal related to the fight against informality. According to him any business whose annual turnover is lower than ALL 12 million should be excluded from the Value Added Tax (VAT) burden.
“The small business definition should be applied to every business with an annual turnover lower than ALL 12 million. Informality can’t be fought through the inclusion of small business in VAT scheme. Even the International Monetary Fund (IMF) objects this decision,” said Basha.
He also stressed that this decision would generate prices increase while enabling the oligarchs to go beyond any control in the market.
