The Palace of Brigades Opens the Gates to the Public

The Palace of Brigades Park opened for the first the gates to the visitors during this weekend. They were given the chance to get a close acquaintance with one of the most attractive elements of this historic and monumental building of Tirana.
The park is one of the unique environments of the capital with an exotic green and is defined as one of the best creations in this aspect of architectural environment in Albania. This park will welcome the visitors free of charge each weekend from 09:00 to 16:00 during a period of time from October to April and from 09:00 to 20:00 from May to September.
Numerous citizens who visited the park in the opening day were marveled by the grandeur and beauty of multi-colored gardens.
The construction Presidential Palace, mostly known as Palace of Brigades, started in 1936 during King Zog 1 reigning period. This building, whose project was realized by three Italian architects, was meant to serve as King Zog’s residence. However he was forced to leave the country at the eve of Italian occupation during the 2nd World War and was never given the chance to see the finished premise which was completed in 1941.
