Illicit Construction in Vjosa, Police Officers Discharged

An illicit construction in Vjosa river gorge caused a wave of discharge among State Police ranks.
The State Police General Director Haki Çako ordered on Friday the immediate discharge of several police officers due to their actions and non-actions in relation to this illicit object construction.

The discharged police officers failed to report the materials accumulation and the beginning of works for the deviation of a natural water resource despite ascertaining this fact since September 5.

The list of the discharged police officer is presented below:

Permet police station chief-commissar Gazment Shehu

Kelcyra police station chief, deputy-commissar Edmond Anxhara

Meantime the State Police Inspector Dashnor Jakupi was expelled from the police ranks on grounds of omission to report the facts.

Likewise warning notes were given to the Gjirokastra Police Deputy-Director Koço Dafa and the Gjirokastra police First Director Lorenc Panganika.
