Former Political Persecuted Demand Compensation

A group of the former politically persecuted have protested in front of the former politically persecuted institution’s door claiming that they have not received compensation. By chaining themselves to the door of the institution for the former politically persecuted, the group is protesting to demand the receipt of their compensations.
“We have been enslaved and tortured with 11, 15, 20 years of prison and they have excluded us from the compensation,” said a member of the former politically persecuted.
The former politically persecuted say that they have not received the 8th tranche of compensation, which the government guaranteed to provide this year.
Other former politically persecuted say that the compensation value has been cut in half due to problems with documentation.
There have also been some members of the former politically persecuted who consider the protest to be related to allowing Communists in parliament, referring to the chairman of the assembly Gramoz Ruçi.
The former politically persecuted also paid homage to Lirak Bejko, who set himself on fire in the strike of November 2012.
