Albania Seen Through a French Eye

The French photographer Virginie Caquot will be presented to the Albanian public through an exhibition in the National Gallery of Arts (NGA). Some 30 black and white pictures illustrating her trip throughout Albania from September 2015 until July 2017 will become part of this exhibition opened in the framework of the cultural exchanges between two countries.

The exhibition, titled “In the Eagle’s Country” captures moments of everyday’s life and events creating a really unique atmosphere for the visitors.

“My photography is generally intuitive, guided by the everyday’s life ordinary situations encountered during my trips. This is my personal dialogue with the viewer. It is up to him to discover these moments through my point of view. Through this exhibition I give to the viewers my vision for nowadays Albania,” said the photographer.

Virginie Cauqot is a freelance photographer born in the city of Lille. She has completed the studies for History-Geography and Social Development in the University of Lille and deals with the photo-art since more than 20 years.
