Cultural Sites with Electronic Ticket System

The most important sites of the cultural heritage in Albania will from now welcome the visitors with an electronic ticket system. This project worth USD 512.503, realized thanks to the financial endorsement of Albanian-US Development Fund, was presented in the Ministry of Culture premise.
“This system has been already implemented in Butrint Archeological Park. The National Historic Museum is the 2nd cultural site where the electronic ticket is used while this system will now be implemented in six other cultural sites. This system improves service’s quality and generates a new standard in our cultural heritage sites while setting them in a European level,” said Minister Kumbaro.
According to the minister the electronic tickets end the abuses with the price and provide exact data on the number of visitors in these cultural sites and the incomes generated.
The castle and “Onufri” Iconographic Museum of Berat, “Scanderbeg” museum and Ethnographic Museum in Kruja, Gjirokastra’s castle and Apollonia’s Archaeological Park will soon be equipped with the electronic ticket system.
