The former museum of the communist-ruler, Enver Hoxha will soon be transformed into a multi-functional center in the service of youths. Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj announced this imminent change on Tuesday during a meeting with 400 high-school students in the framework of “One day in Tirana Municipality” initiative.
“Tirana’s most valuable asset in the financial aspect currently lies as a dead carcass. This fact urges us to search for new ideas for “The Pyramids” reconstruction. This premise will soon include a theater and a library while providing at the same various opportunities to the youths to attend digital training courses without being experts of this field. This initiative is based on a suggestion made by the youths and will be financially endorsed by the municipality,” said Veliaj.
He also invited the youths to give their contribution to the city through voluntary work.
‘We have great confidence on the volunteers and the voluntary work. Some 500 volunteers will help the municipality during this year’s edition of Tirana marathon. If you want to be volunteers even if you do not want run with me, then you can help us by being enthusiastic and encouraging all those who are running for the city,” stated the mayor addressing to the city’s youths.
