"The Tunnel", written and directed by Ilir Harxhi, is the newest movie that is being screened in the capital's cinemas. The movie's subject refers to the Albanian society reality while focusing on important topics like corruption, a highly worrisome problem nowadays. "The Tunnel", that may be defined as a satire mixed drama, brings on the big screen a cast of known actors like Robert Ndrenika, Enver Petrovski, Arben Derhemi, Naun Shundi, Sokol Angjeli, etc.
Director Harxhi hopes that this movie will serve as an additional value to the current days' cinema.
"Corruption phenomenon in every level is the epicenter of this movie. This is the kind of movie that includes a pyramid of the entire society. The positive character is a village teacher played by Mehdi Malkaj. Through his figure we all see what goes on because this character points his finger on the society's wounds," said Harxhi.
"The Tunnel" lasts 84 minutes and was realized in Petrela and Picalla villages.
