Tirana's Marathon, Roads to Be Blocked

Some 2500 runners from over 40 countries are expected to participate next Sunday in Tirana's Marathon. The participants in this sportive event organized by the municipality of Tirana will cross some of the capital's main axis. That's why the municipality in collaboration with State Police has drafted a measures plan to guarantee the runners safety.

Through a public announcement on Tuesday the municipality informed the citizens that vehicles circulation and parking will be limited from 00:00 of October 13 until 14:00 of October 15.

The list of roads where cars parking will not be allowed during this timetable is presented below:

'Zog 1' Boulevard

'Nation's Martyrs' Boulevard

'Ibrahim Rugova' Street

'Abdi Toptani' Street

'George W. Bush' Street

Cars parking will also not be allowed in a section of Kavaja Street starting from 'Scanderbeg' square up to the Polyclinics No. 9.

Meantime the vehicles circulation will be forbidden during the above specified timetable in "Mother Teresa" square, 'Nation's Martyrs' Boulevard and those roads where cars parking will not be allowed.

The municipality invites every citizen to come out in the streets supporting the participants in this marathon. |
