Migjeni Theater Brings Moliere's Master-Piece in Tirana

"Tartuffe", one of the most impressive works of Moliere, will come this weekend for the public at the National Theater through the performance of "Migjeni" theater of Shkodra actors. The famous comedy will be brought on stage by director Kushtrim Bekteshi, who has entrusted the roles to a bunch of talented actors such as Besfort Berberi, Pjerin Vlashi, Rita Gjeka, Krist Lleshi, Jozef Shiroka, Sara Smaja, Simon Shkreli etc.
The show is based on the original text of Moliere's work, but has also been subject to small adaptations and reviews.
This play was written in 1664 while its messages against hypocrisy are current to nowadays. It deals with Tartuffe's figure, a hypocrite and charlatan who acts as sacred and religious man but is capable of destroy anyone that may become an obstacle in the fulfillment of his ambitions for money, women and power.
