Tirana Mayor, Erion Veliaj announced on Saturday an ambitious plan of investments in the rural areas. This plan foresees the reconstruction of the villages’ centers and the roads leading to the city bringing the farmers closer to the market.
“Such investments aim to restore life in the villages, even in those areas that are far from the city center, facilitating the transportation of agricultural products to the market, thus increasing the villagers’ incomes. Likewise this is a positive impetus for everyone willing to live in the village and at the same time a confirmation of the fact that we keep our promises,” said Veliaj.
The mayor made this declaration during the inauguration of the Shirt-Peze Helmes reconstructed road inauguration.
“I am very impressed by quality of work in this quality road. The whole area of Shirt - Pezë Helmes now has a ring that goes through the villages and neighborhoods of the area connecting them with the main road. This road is another successful investment of the municipality,” declared Veliaj.
