Greek Cinematography Week Starts in Korca

The south-eastern city of Korça is welcoming since Wednesday an activity titled “The Greek Cinematography Week”. Some of the most interesting movies produced by the Greek directors are being screened for the cinema-lovers in Korça during this activity. This even is organized under the auspice of the Greek consulate in this city with the purpose of introducing the public with the Greek culture while setting up cultural bridges between two countries.
“Three Greek movies screening will aim the penetration in the city’s cultural life. Korça is a city with a distinct cultural identity inhabited by people who have cultivated the sense of beauty. That’s why we carefully chose the movies to be screened in this city,” declared the Greek consul Georgios Alamanos.
The event started with the presentation of the movie “The price of love” which presents the portrait of a world in continuous social-economic evolution. The movie’s subject, based on “The honor and paradise” novel of Constandin Theodhoku, narrates the story of a great love and betrayal. Movies like “Cunning and Camouflage” and “Costandiponolis’s Kitchen” will also be screened as part of this cultural event.
