Tirana, New Central Park Project Approved by Municipal Council

The Municipal Council of Tirana votes in favor of the city's new central park project that will be constructed as part of the new boulevard. The Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI) representatives in the Municipal Council voted pro while the Democratic Party (DP) representatives voted against it.
Mayor Erion Veliaj declared that the new central park will strengthen Tirana's position as tourism's capital.
He also introduced the council members with the first electric buses will soon be tested in Tirana as part of a project of Tirana City Hall.
The Municipal Council also voted in favor of a financial bonus to the firefighters who coped with the flames during summer hours.
"Their excellent work and the maximal commitment to fulfill this difficult task deserve to be rewarded. These people worked uninterruptedly with self-abnegation in a very harsh environment under arid temperatures," declared the mayor.
