A car that burst into flames on Saturday morning in front of Vlora's Court of First Instance alarmed the police of this coastal city. A 'Fiat' with foreign plates was engulfed by the flames while moving near the court's premise. The vehicle's driver managed to get out avoiding possible injuries due to the fire while the car's frontal part was completely burned down.

The police opened an inquiry on the motives of this unusual episode on view of the fact that everything happened while the court was issuing the security measures for a number of arrested individuals.

The car's owner was set free after testifying that the fire's burst had been due to a short-circuit.
