'Car-Free Day' Initiative Returns in Tirana

The ‘Car-Free Day’ initiative has been restored by the Municipality of Tirana. This initiative aims to increase citizens’ awareness level about the air pollution due to the toxic gases released from their vehicles.

Tirana City Hall informed the citizens on Thursday that this initiative will be implemented tomorrow in a number of axes of the city. Vehicles circulation will be forbidden in these axes that will be temporarily transformed into staged for environmental and cultural activities.

The road axes where the vehicles circulation will not be allowed are listed below:

‘Nation’s Martyrs’ Boulevard, the segment from the Presidency up to the Palace of Congresses

‘Kont Urani’ street,

‘VIII Brigade’ Street

‘Pjeter Bogdani’ Street
