The Municipality of Tirana remains focused on the village and rural axes. Mayor Erion Veliaj underlined this fact on Monday during the inauguration of a bridge in Menik village.

“Villages centers will be in the focus of our work during the next two years of this mandate. We will begin the work with villages’ centers and then will proceed with main roads that connect them with Tirana,” said Veliaj.

The Mayor said that such investments will be extended to capillary levels in other villages definitively solving the problem of the road infrastructure absence in Tirana’s rural areas.

Referring to the newly inaugurated bridge he said that this was very good news for over 1200 inhabitants of Menik village.

“Thanks to a successful cooperation between the Municipality and the Albanian Armed Forces (AAF) they are no longer isolated from the city. The farmers are no longer forced to experience many difficulties while heading to the market to sell their products,” said the Mayor.
