Over 50 Albanian asylum seekers, including 20 minors, were expelled on Monday by the French authorities. They are expected to arrive in Albania with a special plane that left from Lyon heading to Tirana.

The number of Albanians seeking asylum in France rose drastically during the last months becoming a worrisome issue for the authorities. On the other side no request has been accepted on view of the fact that Albania is considered a safe country of origin.

The same policy of asylum-seekers expulsion is being implemented even by the German authorities as an instrument to discourage those looking for a better future in this country.
