The Books Garden, a public space dedicated to the literature lovers, is part of Tirana City Hall projects. This fact was made public on Sunday by Tirana Mayor, Erion Veliaj during the Architecture Biennale in Chicago.

“The Books Garden will be situated in the green area between the National Library and the Clock’s Tower. This area will turn into a place where you can exchange books with each other, and will naturally be associated to the National Library,” said Veliaj.

He also presented to the participants in this biennale with more project related to the citizens everyday’s life, including a restructured sewers system and a new polycentric bus station.

“A project that ‘discipline’ city’s sewers system is being implemented in cooperation with the Japanese government. The new collector will avoid sewers pouring into Lana river while solving this problem for at least 300.000 families in the city’s northern area. A polycentric bus station will also be constructed eliminating all minor stations around the small ring-road,” declared Tirana’s mayor.
