Rexhep Qosja's monodrama Death of a queen will come to the Albanian public in the stage of Experimental Theater Kujtim Spahivogli on September 19 under the direction of Arjeta Dhima.
The Death of a Queen "addresses issues that are present even in the modern days, while it is the first artistic work that brings to the art the history of queen Teuta, known as the first and only female queen who ruled the Illyrian people. This mono-drama is the psycho-physical journey of a queen who is at the very last moments of her reign.
The plays director Arjeta Dhima joins the actors Klejdi Meta and Josif Sina on stage while their performance is accompanied by Shpat Dedas lullaby.
The words, choreography, rhythms, and song that will be included in this play clearly convey important messages and emphasize the attitude to the issues that this performance speaks of: lack of power, betrayal, servility, romance, mother's feelings and the infantile attitude of the people who go after their queen as the ships after the shepherd.
