The high education does not seem to be a warranty for employment in Albania. The latest data made public by the EUROSTAT referring to 2015 indicate that Albania is the only country in the region, where unemployment in those with higher education is higher than for those with secondary education.

According to EUROSTAT 15% of those who have completed higher education in Albania are unemployed. On contrary, the unemployment level among those who have completed secondary education is 12%. These figures show an incorrect proportion between those who have an university diploma and the work-market requests.

In EU countries, the unemployment rate of those who have completed higher education is only 5%, while in secondary education is 15%.
