The Albanian National Team coach, Christian Panucci considered more than fair last night's draw with Macedonia. In his comment after the match the Italian coach was not entirely happy with the team's performance but acknowledged that at the end they demonstrated strength of character, resisting the adversary's attacks.
"We could have scored the 2nd goal with Sadiku but we might also have suffered a 2nd goal losing the match. We suffered but fought as true Albanians. In my opinion the result was more than fair. We suffered in the physical aspect due to the fact that some players were no longer able to cope with the situation. Let's not forget that we have players that are no currently part of their team line-up," said the Italian coach.
The 44-years old coach also explained his technical choices in this match.
"I wanted to play with a half-striker thus I chose Hyka. However, we may play with a different line-up in the future matches. There's a multitude of possible choices," said Panucci.
Regarding the remaining challenges against Spain and Italy he said that the team will try to make a surprise.
"Two remaining matches are very important. We will make an effort to change the history," declared the Italian coach.
