'8 Women', Premiere in Korca Theater

"8 Women", a comedy written by the renowned author Robert Thomas, will raise the curtains of Pan-Albanian Comedy Festival in Korça.

This play, which comes to the public under the direction of Driada Dervishi, bring on the stage a brilliant cast of actors like Yllka Mujo, Rajmonda Bulku, Olta Daku, Zamira Kita, Merita Çoçoli, Blerta Belliu, Klodiana Keco, Paula Kodra and Ilda Plepi.

‘8 Women’ was written in 1958 and has been successfully presented in different stages. This comedy became known even thanks to a cinematographic adaption.

It has at its center eight women gathered for end of year holidays in a home away from home and isolated from the snow. They know each other very well, but then a murder happens. The house owner is stabbed to death. All women are suspected, all accusing each other. The entire play moves around this idea.

‘8 women’ premiere will be on September 16 in Andon Zako Çajupi theater of Korça.
