The Himara Municipal Council meeting was moved to Kuc village on Wednesday while the security was taken over by the Rapid Intervention forces.

The last meeting of the Municipal Council was interrupted due to the intervention of Union for Human Rights Protection (UHRP) branch in Himara chair, Fredi Bejleri and businessman Nikollaq Neranxi.

Their reaction was related to the forewarned demolition of some buildings as part of the city’s new urban planning.

It now remains to be seen if the new urban planning will be approved by the Himara Municipal Council despite the inhabitants’ protests outside the building.
