Some 157 Asylum Seekers Repatriated

Germany and France are taking back to Albania all the citizens who have sought asylum for economic or health reasons in these countries. Only in the past 24 hours, three charters landed in Rinas airport transporting Albanian citizens repatriated by these two countries of the EU. State Police informed that 157 citizens have been repatriated. From these, 131 have been repatriated by Germany and 26 by France.
Frontex in collaboration with State Police, French and German Police have organized three flights by charters to send back the Albanian citizens who sought asylum in these countries. State Police underlined that they are collaborating very closely with all partner police forces to repatriate all the Albanians seeking asylum in European Union countries.
According to the State Police, the additional measures taken at the beginning of August has brought a decrease of the number of citizens who are trying to go to EU countries aiming at seeking asylum. They appealed to all those who are trying to find different ways to go abroad not to fall prey to deceptions, not to make useless expenses because chances for receiving asylum in EU countries are zero.
"All those citizens who are seeking better education, who want to find a legal job, have all the possibilities and legal ways to search them in EU countries," concludes the message of State Police.
