Forest fires continue to sweep across country’s territory. The latest data released on Thursday by the National Civil Emergencies indicated the presence of 14 new blazes in the last 24-hours.

Some 106 firefighters and 20 firefighting vehicles were deployed in the most problematic areas aiming the wildfires containment. 140 Army’s troops and dozens of Forest Police Department officers also helped the firefighters battling for hours with the flames.

Helicopters provided assistance from the air in the areas where the broken terrain impeded firefighters from reaching the blazes.

The fires situation is being continuously monitored by the Civil Emergencies experts in order to prevent situation deterioration.
