The Albanian National Team will be gathered on August 28 under the direction of the new coach, Christian Panucci. The Red and Black team will play against Lichtenstein in Elbasan Arena on September 2 and three days later will face Macedonia in Strumica stadium.
These two matches, part of the qualifying round for the World Cup 208, will serve more to the new coach to get acquainted with the team and test different schemes than to the qualification.
During Panucci’s presentation as Gianni De Biassi’s successor the Albanian Football Federation president, Armando Duka said that Albania’s objective is the qualification to Euro 2020 finals.
Albania is in Group G, at third place with 9 points, the same as Israel, while the group is led by Italy and Spain with 16 points.
