Fires situation in the entire territory is gradually improving. The last rainfalls during the weekend helped the firefighters to control the wildfires. Only 5 blazes were registered throughout the country during the last 24 hours, the Civil Emergencies reported.
The massive fires in Shkodra, Lezha and Dibra districts were completely extinguished thanks to the firefighters' efforts and the help of army's troops.
Meantime the blazes remain still active in Finiq and Delvina, part of Vlora district. Helicopter's intervention became necessary due to the broken terrain that impeded firefighters from reaching the site.
Likewise numerous firefighters supported by army's troops are still battling with the flames in Panarit village, part of Korça district.
Wildfires continue to burn down forest areas even in Dibra district where 25 firefighters have been deployed in order to prevent situation escalation.
The fires situation in the entire territory is being continuously monitored by the Civil Emergencies experts. They renew the appeal to the citizens to immediately report any sign of blaze in the emergency or police numbers.
