A report of State Supreme Audit (SSA) released on Thursday, focused on MPs abroad trips, unveiled massive abuses with state's funds. The evidenced abuses are related mostly to the tickets prices, accommodation and foods costs.
According to this report the MPs have changed their abroad trips for work motives itineraries by using the public funds to purchase new tickets or have travelled ahead of the official meetings 'amusing' themselves, always with tax-payers money.
"The audit evidenced some incongruities in the departures dates, according to the order issued by the Parliament's General Secretary and the itinerary defined in the invitation extended by the activities organizers. The verification shows that the MPs have traveled two days ahead of the predefined date while the expenses have been covered by the state's budget,"
Despite the fact that the MPs have justified the itinerary changes with medical or family reasons the audit indicated that this was only a maneuver aimed to conceal the use of public fund for personal amusement.
