The match between Armando Sadiku’s Lugano and Taulant Xhaka’s Basel ended with a 2-2 draw. Basel had no interest in this match score while Lugano sought victory, aiming to ensure a place in the European Cups.

Two Albanian footballers, part of the National Team, left their mark in this match, especially Sadiku that scored and was punished with a red card.

Xhaka gave the assist that led to Basel’s goal at 12th minute of the first half, while his team doubled the figures in the 2nd half. But two Albanians playing for Lugano refused to accept this defeat. Alioski became the first to narrow the distances with a penalty and then Sadiku equalized the figures through a seemingly hand-made goal at 80th minute. The Elbasan born attacker celebrated excessively thus was given a 2nd yellow card which left Lugano with 10 players.

This team now ranks at 4th place in Switzerland’s Super-League and is quickly approaching the participation in the European Cups next season.
