UEFA made public the list of the stadiums who are candidates for hosting the European Super Cup 2019. ‘National Arena’ stadium of Tirana ranks amid the stadiums that may welcome this event.
The final decision will be taken next September by the UEFA’s Executive Committee, while a total of 9 stadiums have been included in the preliminary list as candidacies for this important event in the continent.
European Super-Cup is a final match between the Champion’s League winner and the Europa League winner and usually takes place by the mid-August. This match might bring large incomes to Albania is the ‘National Arena” is proclaimed winner by UEFA.
The works for the construction of ‘National Arena’ kicked off since June 2016 and are continuing with high rythms. The new stadium is expected to be completed within June 2018.
