Atalanta's Sportive Director, Giovanni Sartori confirmed that negotiations with Lazio for Etrit Berisha's transfer issue solution will kick off by the end of the season.
The Bergamo's club loaned the Albanian goalkeeper with a clause that enable his definitive transfer, thus has to decide within June 15 if he will leave or remain with them.
"Discussions with Lazio are still opened, due to our right to purchase him within June 15, or even earlier. As soon as the season end and our final rankings in the classification board are assessed we will take a decision on this issue. Then and only then we will conduct economic negotiations with the Albanian goalkeeper and Lazio," declared Sartori in an interview given to the Italian media.
Atalanta is ready to keep Etrit Berisha within its ranks offering him a long-term contract. But the sum of EUR 7 Million asked from Lazio remains a problem, on view of the club's reluctance to pay such a large sum. Negotiations may focus on this sum lowering to EUR 4 or 5 Millions.
